I recommend carrying a measuring tape with you in your organizing toolkit. If possible, invest in a heavy duty one like a Husky or Stanley. I find that the heavy
duty tape tends to stay extended at longer lengths than the cheaper measuring tapes. You can find Husky or Stanley brand tools at most hardware stores or online.
