When You Feel Overwhelmed, Start Easy!

Earlier this month I told Ed I was planning to fully enjoy the holiday season this year- no moving, no storage units, no renovations – just enjoy now that we’re finally settled! Obviously I still need to work and have responsibilities, but plan to do more fun things these next few weeks! This past weekend I started my fun by doing a puzzle- a colorful, organized, each-doughnut-is-labeled puzzle to be exact!!!

When I dumped the puzzle out on the table to start, I couldn’t help but feel overwhelmed by the 1000 pieces!!!! My mind instantly went to “ok Alejandra, start with what’s easy or fun!”

So naturally I started with the “blueberry bliss” purple doughnut since it’s pretty much the only purple in the puzzle, is a pretty color, and I love blueberry doughnuts lol. Then I moved to the turquoise doughnut lol leaving the five chocolate doughnuts for last since all the pieces roughly look the same!!!

Days later the puzzle finally came together in full enjoyment (Ed claims he did 35%, however the verdict is still out on that number!!!).

Point is- organizing your house is like a puzzle. If you feel overwhelmed, start with what’s easy or fun so you can build momentum to get to your finish line!!!
