In this video I show you how I organize a tall narrow deep cabinet in the kitchen that looks like dead space (you know those really skinny kitchen cabinets that you don’t know what to do with)!

Hope you enjoy the video!

Hi, everyone. I’m Alejandra from Alejandra.TV. And in this video, I’m going to show you how to organize all your food storage wrap like your foil, plastic wrap, and freezer bags.

So before we get started, if you are looking to begin getting organized, you can check out my free organizing video series.

Organizing a Narrow Kitchen Cabinet

I’m in my kitchen right now and I had this really narrow, deep cabinet next to my sink that’s kind of like – it looks like dead space. Like when you open it, it’s really deep. There’s a big electrical outlet in the way and it’s like, “What do you do with the space? While at the same time, I had my foil, my plastic wrap, my bags and I was trying to figure out a way to organize it inside here. And I’m excited to show you what I’ve done here.

So opening up the cabinet, so what I’ve done here is I went to Home Depot to get – like I was trying to like build my own organizer because nothing like this exists. So what I did was I found a vinyl fence post in the fencing department at Home Depot.I got the post cut to 12 inch long pieces. I’ve stacked the pieces and puttied them together so they don’t move. And then I’ve used a binder clip it together.

I’m using this easy DIY Kitchen Wrap Organizer to organize all the foil and plastic. I feel like it’s my favourite cabinet in the kitchen now, besides like the tea bag organizer drawer. Everything has its own compartment. You just come here, you grab something and you put it back. There’s no jamming it inside of a drawer. There’s no stacking, trying to get to the bottom one. Everything has its own organizer. I just label each post with what is (like freezer bags, Saran Wrap, foil, Saran Wrap wax paper and then wax paper).

Storing Freezer Bags

And then on the side of the organizer, I have all my freezer bags. So I talked about this in another video. I always reuse freezer bags because they’re expensive. I just wash them out and then I put them in here. Like if they’re on the side of the drawer, I know they’ve been used and it’s time to reuse them. If they’re still like in here, they’re obviously brand new. But I try and use the old ones first and then if not, use the brand new one. And then once the bag gets like really old then I bring it upstairs to my home office and I use it in there for like papers or for craft materials.

So yeah, so that’s how I organize all of my food storage bags and stuff. If there’s a way you organize it to make it easy to access and like no frustration, leave a comment below and let us know what you do. Thanks for watching and I’ll see you soon. Bye.
