Get Organized Month (GO Month)Each January the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) celebrates “Get Organized Month (GO month)”. During GO month, NAPO chapters around the country organize public events with free giveaways and prizes to help and inspire individuals and businesses to get organized. January is the perfect time to celebrate GO month since individuals often make New Year’s resolutions to better organize their time and lives.

While New Year’s resolutions are great, they aren’t always kept. Statistics say, about 90% of New Year’s resolutions are broken by February. Sound familiar? Instead of making a New Year’s resolution to “get organized” which is very vague and subjective, try setting a few short-term goals which will eventually lead to completing a long-term goal. For example, if your long-term goal is to organize your kitchen, try setting a short-term goal of sorting and purging your kitchen cabinets by February. After you’ve completed the first short-term goal, try sorting and purging the kitchen pantry by March. By December you will have completed a series of short-term goals which eventually leads you to completing your long-term goal of “organizing the kitchen”.

So how is Color-Coded celebrating GO month for 2011? Color-Coded is offering 10% off all organizing services for the month of January to all clients in the Washington D.C. area. Mention “GO Month” to one of our associates and we’ll give you 10% off all organizing services until January 31, 2010. Happy Organizing!
